Bio

I am thrilled to be teaching in the new health science program at Enterprise High School.  It has been a pleasure to help start this new career technology pathway and teach in this curriculum.  The opportunities for learning and job potential for students in the field of medicine are wide-open and it is an exciting time to be promoting and teaching about professions in healthcare.

I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Nursing at Birmingham.  Upon completion of my nursing degree I was accepted into the RN Intern Program at the University of Alabama Hospital which gave me experience in gastrointestinal surgery and medicine, cardiovascular surgery and medicine, rheumatoid and infectious disease, emergency, surgical intensive care, postpartum, and postanesthesia.  After completing the program I accepted a position in the PACU (postanesthesia care unit).

In 1983, I married Chip Quisenberry and in 1984 we moved to Enterprise, Alabama.  I taught for 23 years at Wallace Community College in the nursing program (2 years in the LPN program and 21 years in the ADN program).  I have one son, Jonathan Quisenberry, who graduated from Samford University in 2014.

I love the healthcare profession, and teaching and working with students. It is an awesome opportunity when you can combine what you love into a lifetime profession.
