Rick Rainer, principal of Enterprise High School, is an Alabama native. He attended Troy State University and Auburn University, earning bachelor's and master's degrees in history, a master's degree in educational administration and an educational specialist degree in educational leadership. He has over thirty years experience in education, both in the classroom and in administration. He is the father of four children: Doug, Lori Beth, Will and Leanne, and the grandfather of Addyson Kate. "It is my privilege to serve as Principal of Enterprise High School. Never in my thirty-three years as an educator have I been as proud of a group of people as I am of the students, faculty, and staff of EHS. For the past thirty-three months, this group persevered through difficulties and hardships that would have caused many to give up the fight. Instead, the Wildcat Spirit is strong. The torch has been carried. In approximately seven months, the new EHS will be completed and a new era for Enterprise High School will begin. As we approach this wonderful opportunity for the future of our school and community, let us never forget the loss of eight wonderful and precious students. We also are thankful for the resiliency of the EHS family and the entire community in seeing that the spirit of EHS endured even though we were without the "bricks and mortar" of a traditional school. My thanks to all who have kept us in their hearts during this challenging time. Thank you classes of 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 for your steadfast loyalty and leadership. You will forever hold an honored place in the history of EHS. Thank you teachers and staff. I could not ask for a better group of professionals to help guide, teach, and care for our students. What you have done and continue to do is not far short of a miracle. Thank you, community, for supporting and standing with us as we move forward."--RR "WE ARE ENTERPRISE!"
